If school feels overwhelming and home is stressful, you don’t have to keep guessing.
Clear evaluations and supportive counseling provide the insight and tools you need to help your child thrive.

When your child is struggling, it can feel like you’re missing a piece of the puzzle. A psychoeducational evaluation uncovers the “why” behind their challenges, whether related to learning, attention, emotions, or daily skills, so you finally know how to move forward with confidence.

Beyond a diagnosis, you’ll receive clear and individualized recommendations for both school and home. These will include practical strategies that help you understand what to ask for and how to best support your child’s growth and confidence. I’ll also ensure you have the information and guidance you need to take the most effective next steps and connect with the right supports for your child.

Attention, impulsivity, hyperactivity, emotional dysregulation, and executive functioning are key areas considered in the evaluation. This helps clarify whether your child’s challenges are consistent with ADHD or if another factor is contributing to difficulties with focus and self-control.
Communication, social interaction, and behavior patterns are examined as part of the evaluation. I also consider how your child responds to sensory input. Together, these observations provide insight into how Autism may be influencing their learning, relationships, and daily routines.
Emotional regulation and stress responses are also explored. By looking at how worry or anxiety show up in daily life, I can distinguish whether your child’s struggles stem from emotional factors, learning differences, or both.
Dyslexia is a reading learning disability that can make it harder for a child to read accurately and fluently or to understand what they’ve read. Reading fluency, decoding, and comprehension are evaluated to determine whether it is affecting your child’s progress in literacy and overall confidence at school.
A learning disability in written expression that affects handwriting, spelling, and written organization. The evaluation helps determine whether dysgraphia is influencing your child’s ability to communicate ideas through writing.
Dyscalculia is a learning disability that affects a child’s understanding of numbers and mathematical concepts. Math reasoning, number sense, and problem-solving are evaluated to determine whether it is impacting your child’s ability to learn and apply math skills.
Reasoning, problem-solving, and adaptive skills are assessed to determine your child’s cognitive strengths and needs. This can clarify whether challenges are related to intellectual functioning and help guide the right supports.

Every child deserves a place where they feel heard, understood, and valued for exactly who they are. Counseling creates that safe and supportive space, one where your child’s unique qualities and interests are not only accepted, but celebrated.

Parenting a child who is struggling can feel heavy, uncertain, and isolating. But you don’t have to carry that weight alone. With clear answers and a plan, what once felt overwhelming can become lighter.
The future may not be without challenges, but it doesn’t have to be without hope. With understanding, support, and the right tools, you and your child can move forward with confidence.
